MAC Pro Longwear Lipglass - Driven By Love

I am loving everything red right now! MAC have recently launched their Office Hours Collection with no-fade staying power, longwear formula's. On my travels for work to Dublin today, I saw the collection in Gatwick South airport. The range boasts a mix of pinks, plums, nudes, browns and greys, but they didn't have much of the shades available in the airport so I will need to head to Brown Thomas whilst in Dublin and see if they have the rest!

They did have the Pro Longwear Lipglass in Driven By Love. 

Described as a red blue with slight pearl, it is designed to go on smooth and last for up to 6 hours.

It is a very similar shade to Ready to Roam from the Styleseeker collection. 

However, it is richer in formula and slightly more pearly. 

It's also similar to Russian Red, but deeper.

The applicator is soft and flexible and allows the gloss to go on smoothly.

The finish is creamy opaque and leaves the lips looking shiny and juicy!

I found the applicator is quite big. You will need a mirror check the application of it.

If you have small lips, it may be hard to work with.

Once on the lips, the formula does feel quite thick and sticky which means it doesn't spread too evenly. I personally don't mind sticky glosses as long as they don't dry out my lips and they last. If you don't like to feel gloss on your lips though, this may not be the formula for you.  

It also has a sweet vanilla fragrance.

The Pro Longwear Lipglass is £17.00 which is quite pricey for a lip gloss, but I had to try it.

The 6 hour test is to come so I will see if it is worth the price.

Overall, so far I like the formula and the shade.

The collection is mostly new products which will be added to the permanent range. 

There are 8 Pro Longwear Lipglass shades. 6 are new and 2 are re-promoted shades.

Everlasting Nude (6th from left) is a warm midtone nude, with no shimmer and a limited edition shade.

Driven By Love (far right) is one of the re-promoted shades and is so far one of the best sellers.
