NARS Matte Multiples for Spring 2014 Swatches

When is the official launch?! Not yet on the UK NARS website (as of the date and time of this post) and counters don't have a clue! But if you want them now, they have been launched in SpaceNK this week.

I popped in on a mission to have a play and purchase one.
I own 5 multiples already, and I love them.

They are a portable, multi-purpose, contouring and highlight gadget for lips, eyes and cheeks.
The lightweight creamy formula glides smoothly and they are easy to blend with your fingers.
The current collection has a good range of shades, including darker shades for brown skin like mine.

Swatches for my current collection coming soon.

The new matte multiple collection is available in 7 shades and are a little different to the original multiples.

  • The first thing I noticed was the size, they are smaller and still cost £30 as the current larger multiples - I was told this is because they are have a richer pigment so less is needed
  • Application for lips and cheeks, but not for eyes

  1. Anguilla (ginger pink)
  2. Exumas (pink apricot)
  3. Laos (rose coral)
  4. Siam (poppy red)
  5. Altai (rose bronze)
  6. Vientiane (copper bronze)
  7. Cappadoce (golden bronze)

Anguilla (ginger pink) Exumas (pink apricot) Laos (rose coral) Siam (poppy red)

Altai (rose bronze) Vientiane (copper bronze) Cappadoce (golden bronze)

Vientiane (copper bronze) Cappadoce (golden bronze) Siam (poppy red)

How to use:
  • Can be applied dry for a soft but vibrant matte finish - apply stick directly onto cheeks or lips and blend with the fingertips, or tap multiple with fingers and blend onto cheeks or lips
  • For a sheer finish, apply wet - dampen fingers first, then wipe multiple over finger and blend onto the cheeks or lips
  • When playing with them I did notice that the formula is rich and highly pigmented, you don't need a lot at all
  • I noticed that the darker shades appear more translucent with applied wet.

So after all that I couldn't decide which colour I wanted!
Considering the cost, I thought I would take some time to think about it!
Now that I have had more time to examine my swatches, I am leaning towards
Siam for cheeks and Exumas or Laos for cheeks and highlighting...
Vientiane or Cappadoce for contouring, very similar shades but Cappadoce is my current favourite and more of an everyday shade for my skin tone.
